With regards to local elections, the majority of Meersbrook (perhaps even all?) falls under the "Gleadless Valley" District.

Local Political Party branches (4)

In addition to it's lingering reputation as "Capital City of the Socialist Republic of South Yorkshire" Sheffield also has established support from the other major parties. However, come election time it tends to be a two-horse race between Labour and the local Lib Dems (despite strong support also for the Green Party)
